Equipment

Here is some equipment & gear particular to the Realm of Syseria. This supplements the equipment section of the PHB.

Enchanted Weapons, Armor, and Items of Syseria

halfling short bow - Neepaloo Pook

has female halfling face on front of bow which speaks.

she must drink from fountain in halfling village where she was created to be recharged to 20.

the short bow is +5 and can fire any arrows.

using 1 charge produces 20 arrows which are +3. The arrows are nokked simply by pulling back the bowstring (no quiver required.) The bow is equally capable of firing arrows that it does not produce and will not accidentally nok one of its own magical arrows if another arrow is placed there instead.

also, in the halfling village there is a pegasus which has a nasty habit of drinking the fountain’s water. The current halflings are wise to it, but newcomers rarely are.

Armor of Guile

Battle Armor - This armor has been designed for quick putting on. It has spikes and blades that cover the armor. Mainly field plate to full plate armors. At the seams of the armor there are no straps to buckle the armor on a person.

Spikes that are spring loaded that fit into holes in the crosspiece of the other side of the armor. It interlocks so it stays together. This type of armor is favored by berserkers, because they can grapple with their victims and the armor will lacerate an pierce their victim.

Black obelisk: These nasty devices are used to interrogate a person or used to incapacitate someone. Originally it came from another planet. They psionically link with a victim to dominate the person’s mind and incapacitate them. While this happens it extracts the person’s memories and knowledge. And it stores it so that the owner of the device can access what is stored in it. Even if the languages are foreign to the user it will be translated to whatever language is needed.

The Kolugari

A powerful suit of armor created for flexibility. All special powers work only for Paladins.

Acts as Plate Mail +5 for Paladins only (others will find the armor’s usefulness is hindered by it’s unwillingness to form to their body.) Armor is intelligent and communicates with any intelligent creature that dons it telepathically.

When donning armor, after 5 minutes it magically shrinks or expands where necessary to fit perfectly on its owner.

Anyone who is not encumbered otherwise will enjoy a movement rate of 12, not 9, when wearing this plate mail.

Powers:

Oyumo’s special item is a creature. This is “organic living armor” of sorts. They are actually symbiotic parasitic creatures that meld with Oyumo.

Dagger of Throm - stone hilt; unknown blade material

Alignment: Neutral

Dagger of Throm only written about once in an unknown bards tale said to have powers beyond man or beast. Created by the gods of neutrality to seek out balance shifters and kill them. Bestows possessor of powers only if true neutral alignment.

Kyanite Cilicate Crystals

These are the common white crystals.

A Kyanite Cilicate crystal allows users to communicate via speech or any other audible sound, anywhere on the face of Syseria. There is no range limitation, excepting that they do not function off-world, as they rely upon the intraplanetary network of crystal towers to function.

By touching another users’ crystal, one may henceforth send and receive messages with that person at will. A crystal will work with any other Kyanite or Isis crystal. Communicating with a user of an Isis crystal does not confer any ability to send or receive a visual image.

This is not scrying and protection from scrying has no effect on the use of these. In the event that a crystal changes hands, the user cannot contact anyone the previous user(s) communicated with, because the recipient of any message must be known to the crystal user.

Isis Cilicate Crystals

These are the rarer, more expensive blue crystals.

An Isis cilicate crystal allows users to communicate via visual image and speech or any other audible sound, anywhere on the face of Syseria. There is no range limitation, excepting that they do not function off-world, as they rely upon the intraplanetary network of crystal towers to function.

By touching another users’ crystal, one may henceforth send and receive messages with that person at will. A crystal will work with any other Kyanite or Isis crystal. Communicating with a user of a Kyanite crystal does not confer any ability to send or receive a visual image.
